Gujarat Screens 2,905 Passengers for Ebola Amid Global Alert

Gujarat has screened 2,905 international passengers, the highest number among Indian states, as part of heightened surveillance following the WHO's Ebola outbreak alert.

A total of 10,974 international travellers were screened across India between May 23 and July 28, 2026, with Mumbai airport recording the highest volume at 7,568 screenings.

The Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare confirmed that no Ebola cases have been reported in India, and no travel bans have been imposed at this time.
