Kamal Haasan Reclaims Previously Scrapped Film Title 'Sandiyar'

Actor Kamal Haasan has officially titled his upcoming film 'Sandiyar', a name previously abandoned in 2003 following political controversy.

The new project will be directed by SU Arun Kumar, with Anirudh Ravichander serving as the music composer.

The film’s original title, which was changed to 'Virumandi' two decades ago, faced objections from the Puthiya Tamilagam Party due to claims of promoting caste-based valorization.
