French President Emmanuel Macron Lands In Riyadh For Solidarity Visit

French President Emmanuel Macron arrived in Riyadh on Wednesday for a surprise solidarity visit following weeks of Houthi attacks against Saudi Arabia.

Mr. Macron is the first Western leader to visit the kingdom since the Iran-backed Houthis escalated attacks that disrupted airport operations and port exports.

The tour aims to demonstrate diplomatic backing and secure diesel and petrol supplies to help reduce energy prices in France.
