Saudi air defences intercepted and destroyed a hostile drone in the Riyadh region on Saturday, according to military coalition spokesman Turki al-Malki.
Debris from the interception fell without causing any injuries, while officials did not immediately identify who launched the drone.
The interception occurred amid heightened regional hostilities involving Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi movement and renewed fighting in Yemen that has displaced over 275,000 people.
