Tamil Nadu CM Vijay reiterates state opposition to NEET

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister C Joseph Vijay reiterated the state government's firm opposition to NEET and centralized undergraduate entrance exams.

During a meeting with a high-powered examination reforms task force led by Nandan Nilekani, the state recommended replacing NEET with Class 12 marks.

The Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly previously passed a unanimous resolution opposing NEET on August 11, 2026.
