IIT Kharagpur and the Tripura government signed an agreement to set up a Centre for Advanced Learning, Research and Innovation (CALRI).

The multidisciplinary platform aims to promote AI-enabled education, research in emerging technologies, startup incubation, and faculty development under IIT Kharagpur's academic mentorship.

The partnership will also mentor Tripura Technical University in curriculum modernisation and strengthen government general degree colleges through industry-aligned skill programmes.
