Congress names Aradhna Mishra Mona as Uttar Pradesh chief

The Congress appointed Aradhna Mishra Mona as its new Uttar Pradesh unit chief and Imran Masood as working president ahead of the 2027 Assembly polls.

Mona, the daughter of Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tewari, replaces outgoing state president Ajay Rai, who had served in the post since August 2023.

Party President Mallikarjun Kharge also approved the appointment of Chaudhary Virendra Singh as the new Leader of the Congress Legislature Party in Uttar Pradesh.
