Google Maps Adds Agent-Based AI for Food and Transit

Google updated the Ask Maps feature to include agent-based AI capable of performing multi-step tasks like ordering food and tracking real-time public transport delays.

The food ordering feature is currently rolling out in the US with partners including Square and Toast, with Uber Eats integration expected soon.

Users can now connect Ask Maps to Gmail and Calendar to receive personalized suggestions based on upcoming flight or dinner reservations.
