Delhi High Court Questions Use of 'Shoorveer' Song in Mirzapur Movie

The Delhi High Court stated on September 17, 2026, that using a song revering Maharana Pratap for a fight sequence in Mirzapur: The Movie is not in good taste.

The CBFC informed the court that the producer had independently approached the regulatory body to alter the scene and replace the track.

The court directed the CBFC to reach a decision on the producer's proposal within a week and listed the public interest litigation for further hearing on September 24.
