INDIA bloc awaits President Murmu's appointment over ECI concerns

The INDIA bloc has yet to receive an appointment from President Droupadi Murmu to discuss concerns regarding the functioning of the Election Commission of India.

Opposition leaders proposed a 15-member delegation and later agreed to an informal condition from the President's office to trim the group to 10 members.

Meanwhile, a separate petition sent by CPI(M) MP John Brittas seeking constitutional intervention in the special intensive revision exercise was forwarded to the Legislative Department.
