Jharkhand Closes Schools Due to Rains from Cyclone Arnab

The Jharkhand government ordered the closure of schools until October 29 in several districts due to rainfall triggered by cyclone Arnab.

Cyclone Arnab made landfall on the Andhra Pradesh coast between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam as a very severe cyclonic storm early Wednesday.

The storm packed maximum sustained wind speeds of 125-135 kmph gusting to 150 kmph during its landfall process at around 1.20 am.
