SGPC Announces Presidential Election for November 20

The SGPC executive committee convened a general house session at Teja Singh Samundri Hall on November 20 to elect its president and office-bearers.

Incumbent Harjinder Singh Dhami faces questions over whether he will secure a fifth consecutive term or if the Shiromani Akali Dal will introduce a new face.

Speculation surrounds former president Bibi Jagir Kaur's potential return to the Badal-led Shiromani Akali Dal and candidacy for the top post.
