Two chain snatchers injured in police firing during escape attempt in Guwahati

Two accused chain snatchers sustained bullet injuries during a police operation near Khanapara in Guwahati at around 2 am on Thursday.

The accused, Prohanta Boro and Rahul Das, were in police custody in connection with a case registered under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita.

Police opened fire on their legs after the suspects allegedly attacked escorting constables and attempted to flee during an investigative site visit.
