Airtel Money begins trading on London Stock Exchange at $7 bn valuation

Airtel Money began conditional dealings on the London Stock Exchange Main Market at an implied valuation of 5.3 billion pounds on Friday.

Priced at 1.96 pounds apiece under the ticker AMC, the initial public offering attracted demand several times the available shares.

The company will start formal unconditional trading from October 14 as it expands its digital financial services across Africa.
