DMK MLAs Evicted From Tamil Nadu Assembly Over CM Remarks

Speaker J.C.D. Prabhakar ordered the eviction of DMK MLAs from the Tamil Nadu Assembly on September 8, 2026, following a sit-in protest inside the House.

The opposition members demanded the expunction of Chief Minister C. Joseph Vijay’s remarks regarding the Sarkaria Commission, MISA, and the late Murasoli Maran.

Speaker Prabhakar refused the demand, stating the Chief Minister quoted from public ED reports and that the issues had been debated in the House previously.
