Bengaluru School Closes Following H1N1 Outbreak

Clarence High School in Richards Town, Bengaluru, will remain closed until August 18, 2026, following a severe outbreak of a flu-like illness among its students and staff.

School authorities confirmed that over 500 students and 21 staff members are suffering from symptoms including fever and cough, with at least two cases of H1N1 officially verified.

The school has requested urgent intervention from civic authorities to address unhygienic conditions caused by street food vendors operating near the school premises on Clarke and Pottery Roads.
