India Launches Air Suvidha 2.0 for Digital Health Surveillance

India has launched Air Suvidha 2.0, a digital platform for international passengers to submit mandatory health declarations before arrival.

The system requires travelers to provide travel history for the previous 21 days and exposure details, replacing the previous manual paperwork process.

Developed by the Ministry of Civil Aviation and DIAL, the platform aims to improve disease surveillance following WHO concerns regarding Ebola outbreaks in Africa.
