French President Emmanuel Macron conferred the Chevalier de l'Ordre national de la Légion d'Honneur on Bharti Enterprises founder and chairman Sunil Bharti Mittal.
The distinction recognizes Mittal's contributions to telecommunications, digital infrastructure, and strengthening economic relations between India and France over three decades.
Mittal is scheduled to receive France's highest civilian award at an official ceremony on October 28, 2026, at the French Embassy in New Delhi.
