ChatGPT Adds Google Drive Integration for Direct File Editing

OpenAI launched a new Google Drive integration for ChatGPT on August 13, 2026, allowing subscribers to access, summarize, and edit Drive files directly within the chatbot interface.

The feature is available to Plus, Pro, Enterprise, Edu, Healthcare, and Business subscribers on the web, with mobile app support expected to follow at a later date.

Users can grant permissions for ChatGPT to save edits automatically to the original source file, and the tool supports applying changes to entire folders of documents.
