Seventy-five-year-old lucha libre referee Gerardo German Pineda died following an in-ring incident with independent wrestler Hijo de Fishman on October 6.
Mexican authorities arrested Fishman on October 7 and charged him with manslaughter in connection with Pineda's death during the event in Mineral de la Reforma.
Videos showed the wrestler performing a double-underhook piledriver, after which the referee remained motionless and was subsequently pronounced dead.
