London police arrest 139 protesters outside U.S. Embassy over Palestine Action support

London police arrested 139 people outside the U.S. Embassy on Saturday for expressing support for the banned pro-Palestinian group Palestine Action.

The U.K. government outlawed the direct-action protest group last year as a terrorist organisation, making support punishable by up to 14 years in prison.

Activists planned the demonstration ahead of a Supreme Court appeal scheduled for November 4 against the group's terror designation.
