At least seven workers died and 13 were injured after a landslide caused flooding at a state-run hydropower project tunnel in Uttarakhand on Thursday.
The State Disaster Management Authority confirmed three workers remain missing as rescue teams use makeshift rafts to navigate the flooded site amid heavy monsoon rains.
Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami described the ongoing rescue operation as war-like, following a series of similar fatal tunnel accidents in Sikkim and Uttarakhand since 2023.
