Lung Cancer Incidence Rising Faster Among Women in Karnataka

Data from the Kidwai Memorial Institute of Oncology shows lung cancer is rising faster among women than men in Karnataka, particularly Bengaluru.

The average annual age-adjusted rate of lung cancer increased by 4.8% among women compared to 1.6% among men.

Men continue to bear a higher overall burden of lung cancer in the state.
