Eight elected members of the Cine and TV Artistes Association Executive Committee resigned, citing a loss of confidence in the current leadership's functioning.
The resigning members alleged that President Poonam Dhillon and Senior Vice President Padmini Kolhapure bypassed collective decision-making and misused official communication channels.
General Secretary Upasana Singh confirmed the resignations and noted that the members also raised concerns regarding the unauthorized involvement of private lawyers in official government meetings.
