Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge questioned Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday over national and economic security, citing ongoing troop face-offs in Arunachal Pradesh and a widening trade deficit.
Kharge's remarks followed ITBP director general Shatrujeet Singh Kapoor's statement confirming continuing face-offs with Chinese PLA troops at multiple locations along the Arunachal Pradesh border.
Kharge noted that Chinese imports surged 102 percent while India's trade deficit with China ballooned 155 percent to $112.16 billion, questioning diplomatic outcomes and patrolling access.
