US President Donald Trump called Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky "not a good guy for us to deal with" and criticised Ukraine's renewed strikes on Russian oil refineries during a Thursday interview.
Trump stated that while he believes the war will eventually end in a settlement, Zelensky is unwilling to reach an agreement and is more difficult to deal with than Russian President Vladimir Putin.
Zelensky met NATO chief Mark Rutte in Brussels and held bilateral meetings with European leaders ahead of an EU summit following strained ties and a public disagreement over US policy.
