Goa unveiled its Artificial Intelligence Policy 2026 during the Goa AI Tech Conclave, setting a three-year roadmap for 2026–2029 to integrate AI into governance and public services.
The state aims to certify 50,000 young people in AI by 2030 and establish an IT Techno Centre in Porvorim to support startups, infrastructure, and incubation facilities.
The policy proposes classifying AI systems into four risk categories, with high-risk applications affecting citizen entitlements or healthcare requiring mandatory human oversight.
