Instagram Introduces AI-Generated Profile Labeling Rules

Instagram is renaming its 'AI creator' label to 'AI-generated profile' and will restrict recommendations for accounts that fail to disclose AI-generated personas.

Profiles identified as featuring AI-generated people without proper labeling will be excluded from Reels and Explore feeds until the label is applied or an appeal is successful.

The update, effective immediately, requires creators to toggle the 'AI-generated profile' setting in their account status to maintain visibility and reach on the platform.
