Apple Delays Standard iPhone 18 Launch to 2027

Contract manufacturer Pegatron confirmed that the standard iPhone 18 will be delayed until the first quarter of 2027 due to ongoing semiconductor and memory chip shortages.

Apple will maintain its traditional September 2026 launch schedule for the higher-margin iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models to prioritize supply allocation.

TSMC currently has approximately $1 billion worth of system-on-chip components awaiting packaging, with supply chain balance not expected to return until 2028.
