Arvind Kejriwal led a march of 100 people to the Prime Minister's residence to protest the mandatory rollout of E20 ethanol-blended petrol.
Kejriwal alleged the government's policy is influenced by US President Donald Trump, while demanding that petrol pumps offer pure petrol alongside the E20 variant.
Union Minister Nitin Gadkari stated in the Lok Sabha that E20 fuel can reduce fuel economy by 2 to 6 percent but offers 30 percent lower carbon emissions.
