A Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam district executive committee member named Christopher was arrested in Kanyakumari on Thursday for allegedly sexually harassing a college student.
The victim and her friend were waiting for a government bus on October 20 when the accused offered them a ride home in his car amid heavy rainfall.
Minister C.T.R. Nirmal Kumar stated that regular procedures will be followed and the party will not hesitate to take action if the accused is found guilty.
