Director Michael Mann was hospitalized after accidentally shooting himself in the leg at a Los Angeles gun range on Saturday.
His representatives confirmed the incident, stating it was a superficial injury from an accidental discharge while the weapon was holstered.
Mann is currently developing the sequel to his 1995 film 'Heat'.
