The West Bengal government increased the monthly remuneration of various categories of contractual employees under the school education system, effective October 1, 2026.
The revision covers personnel working under the Paschim Banga Samagra Shiksha Mission, PBRSSM, Directorate of School Education, and PM-POSHAN.
The decision was approved by the state Cabinet and concurred by the Finance Department to strengthen financial support for education-sector workers.
