Karnataka Imposes One-Year Ban on Sale of Analogue Paneer

The Karnataka Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has officially prohibited the production and sale of analogue paneer across the state for a period of one year.

The ban, effective immediately as of August 22, 2026, was implemented due to public health concerns regarding the ingredients used in these synthetic dairy alternatives.

Karnataka becomes the fifth Indian state to enforce such a restriction, aiming to protect consumers from mislabeled products and ensure the quality of dairy supplies.
