Apple Music to Mandate AI-Generated Content Labels Later This Year

Apple Music will implement mandatory labels for songs created using artificial intelligence, ending the previous policy where such disclosures were optional for content providers.

The company notified music industry partners of the upcoming requirement via email on Thursday, as reported by Billboard, to ensure transparency regarding AI-generated tracks on the platform.

The new labeling system is scheduled to launch later this year, requiring all content providers to tag tracks that utilize AI technology in their production process.
