
Sujeet Kalkal defeated reigning Olympic champion Kotaro Kiyooka of Japan in a 3-3 tie on criteria during the men's freestyle 65kg semifinal at the Asian Games 2026.
The win guaranteed India a medal and advanced Sujeet to the gold medal match against Tajikistan's Abdulmazhid Kudiev.
Sujeet entered the Asian Games as the world number two wrestler in the 65kg weight category behind Iran's Rahman Amouzadkhalili.
