Student with Asperger's Defies Odds to Pass GCSE Exams

Sully, a 16-year-old autistic student from Plymouth, successfully passed his GCSEs, achieving grades including a 6 in English Language despite previous school suspensions and predictions of failure.

The Tor Bridge High student, who was tutored by his 15-year-old sister Cordelia, will now pursue a course in Digital Art at the Access Creative College.

Headteacher Tracy Stephenson praised the student's individual success, noting that the school achieved its best-ever GCSE results while emphasizing that special educational needs should not limit student aspirations.
