Wabtec Secures $94 Million Order from Indian Railways for Vande Bharat Sleeper Trains

U.S.-headquartered Wabtec Corporation has secured a $94 million contract from Indian Railways to supply braking systems, doors, and gangway solutions for the Vande Bharat sleeper train program.

Under the agreement, Wabtec will supply components to the Integral Coach Factory for 50 trainsets, each comprising 24 coaches, over the next two financial years.

Wabtec executives reported that India accounts for nearly 10% of the company's global transit revenue, a figure projected to climb to 13-14% by 2030.
