MEA Dismisses Foreign Criticism of FCRA Amendment Bill

The Ministry of External Affairs stated on August 7, 2026, that the Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill is an internal legislative matter for the Indian Parliament.

The response follows comments from U.S. Congressman Riley M. Moore, who claimed on August 4 that the proposed amendments represent a clear attack against Christians.
