The National Statistics Office has proposed aligning the Annual Survey of Unincorporated Sector Enterprises with the financial year starting April 2027 to improve national accounting usefulness.
The revised survey will incorporate questions on gender-specific barriers faced by women entrepreneurs, fixed-asset investment trends, energy-use patterns, and handloom and handicraft activities.
The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has invited public feedback on the draft schedule and questionnaire until November 15, 2026.
