Parwati Dutta's Mahagami transforms Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar into a cultural hub

Mahagami Gurukul in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, founded by Kathak and Odissi dancer Parwati Dutta, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with the festival 'Satata Trimsat'.

Parwati Dutta moved to the city in 1996 when cultural institutions were predominantly centered in major metropolitan areas.

The gurukul has grown from training a handful of children to offering residential programs in dance, music, yoga, and traditional instruments.
