Kapil Sibal Urges Supreme Court to Halt Voter Deletions

Rajya Sabha MP Kapil Sibal has urged the Supreme Court to stop the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) exercise, alleging it is being used to manipulate voter lists.

Sibal claimed that BJP agents are targeting minority communities for bulk deletions, citing reports from Godda district in Jharkhand where Booth Level Officers have raised concerns.

The allegations follow a broader campaign by Congress leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge, who have accused the Election Commission of bias after 2.06 crore electors were excluded from Maharashtra's draft rolls.
