Iconic 'Rocky Horror' Actor Tim Curry Dies at 80

British actor Tim Curry, best known for his role as Dr. Frank-N-Furter in the 1975 film The Rocky Horror Picture Show, has passed away at his home in Los Angeles at age 80.

Curry, who suffered a debilitating stroke in 2013, earned three Tony Award nominations for his stage work in Amadeus, My Favorite Year, and Monty Python’s Spamalot during his prolific career.

Beyond his cult classic musical role, he gained recognition for his performance as the monster in the 1990 miniseries It and as Cardinal Richelieu in the 1993 film The Three Musketeers.
