Torrential flash floods along the Nepal-Tibet border have resulted in at least 22 deaths and left hundreds of people missing across the mountainous Himalayan region.
Officials reported 384 tourists are unaccounted for, including 291 individuals from India, the United States, the United Kingdom, and Malaysia, following the destruction of homes and infrastructure.
The flooding impacted 430MW of electricity supply, representing over 12% of Nepal's 3.2GW national hydropower capacity, as rescue operations remain stalled by high water levels in Rasuwa district.
