L&T gets initial nod to build Jharkhand thermal power plant

L&T Energy CarbonLite Solutions secured a Limited Notice to Proceed from DVC CIL Power Pvt Ltd to build the main plant of a 1,600 MW thermal power plant in Jharkhand.

The project is being developed at Chandrapura by a joint venture between Damodar Valley Corporation and Coal India Ltd.

The facility will feature two 800 MW ultra-supercritical power units designed to deliver higher thermal efficiency and lower specific emissions.
