J&K Leaders Decry 18% Representation for Kashmir in Officers' List

JKPC chief Sajad Lone and PDP MLA Muntazir Mehdi criticised the latest senior officers' list in Jammu and Kashmir, stating that the Kashmir division received only 18% representation against a 56% population ratio.

The appointment orders for 55 newly selected candidates of the Combined Competitive Examination were distributed by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at a function in Srinagar.

Mr. Lone termed the situation recruitment apartheid and stated he would raise the issue in the Assembly through appropriate legislative devices.
