A transatlantic British Airways flight from London to Chicago landed safely back at Heathrow airport on Monday after declaring a general emergency following a technical issue.
The Boeing 777-200ER aircraft descended 28,000 feet from an altitude of 37,000 feet to 9,000 feet about an hour into the flight while issuing a squawk 7700 code.
The aircraft circled over Irish and Welsh airspace to dump fuel before completing its return journey after spending four hours and 47 minutes in the air.
