Eastern Congo recorded 317 Ebola deaths in the past week, bringing the total outbreak count to 5,514 cases and 2,642 deaths as of Saturday.
The current outbreak has a 47.9 percent fatality rate, though North Kivu province reports a significantly higher rate of 68.6 percent.
