Seventeen-year-old Kumkum Mohod won a historic individual recurve gold medal at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya on Sunday, defeating South Korea's Oh Yejin in a shoot-off.
Making her Asian Games debut, Mohod defeated world and Olympic champion Kang Chaeyoung in the quarterfinals and world championship silver medallist Zhu Jingyi in the semifinal.
The victory secured India a quota for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympics in the women's individual recurve event, completing a three-medal campaign for Mohod.
