DPA positions Kandla as emerging green fuels and shipping hub

Deendayal Port Authority said it is positioning Kandla as a hub for green fuels, green shipping, shipbuilding, and maritime decarbonisation to advance India's Net Zero by 2070 goal.

The recently hosted Kandla Forum 2026 brought together international delegations from 62 Hydrogen Council member companies and various industry stakeholders.

DPA already operates a 1 MW green hydrogen plant, has completed India's first methanol bunkering trial, and serves as an anchor port in India-Europe green shipping corridor studies.
